Dance & Movement Meditation
SUMMER DANCE SESSION STARTS.
To Dance is to Live
The body is our lifelong companion, holding our stories. Our body takes on the shape of our stories. Dance helps us explore, honor, connect, release, express and transform our stories. Whether in a small group, a class or individual therapy we may use movement to understand and harmonize the womb-heart-mind connection.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dance & Movement Meditation
-
Movement Meditation may be a body practice like Quigong. Dance Meditation brings more rhythm and, often, music into the sessions. Both will involve listening to your body and tracking your nervous system. You do not need to have any prior "formal" dance experience. If you have professionally trained dance experience, you are more than welcome to join.
-
Our dance and movement meditation groups are in person. If you desire to integrate this healing modality into your wellness plan and plan to meet virtually, we can accommodate this desire.
-
Some people feel really uncomfortable to sit and be still in traditional meditation poses and postures. Meditation means to bring your attention to something such as your breath, an object and in this case, it may be a combination of your body, the movement, the breath, the sound.
